I went on a ride to Maggie Valley on my super-duper FLHTCUTG. As I was going home to Savannah GA, I noticed the security (alarm) light in the display stayed on. I called Savannah H-D spoke with Hollywood and was told to leave the trike and they would see what was happening. When I got the call, I was told that H-D National felt like the recall on my rear brake lights would fix my trike and Savannah H-D were going to go ahead and perform the recall. It didn't work. Savannah HD found out after performing the diagnostics the bike was stating that the Hydraulic Control Unit was bad. Worse, the unit was on back order until Oct. 19. Worse yet, after waiting a couple of weeks National HD cancelled the part ordered! This goes on for another week and guess what? My trike is back on the road at least 3 months early! Throughout this experience, Savannah HD called me every day, told me what was going on and where they were at in locating the problem. I appreciated the concern even when the news was not so good. They took on the challenge and worked after hours with corporate instructions, to achieve the goal of getting my trike back on the road. A Huge THANK YOU to the two main people which was Hollywood, Sarah Maxwell, and their master mechanic Allen Cole that kept everything going. I appreciate the time and effort they put out to make me feel comfortable, while succeeding in repairing my trike. It's a good feeling to know Savannah Harley-Davidson is there to ensure customer satisfaction and quality is present during all sorts of complex repairs. They have your back in a timely manner, if possible, and with a certain level of confidence that only comes from knowing the quality product they service. Thank you.
